When you first create a MySpace profile, you might notice that it looks a little bland. That's because every profile starts out the same. But you can add different elements to spruce things up a bit and make your MySpace site feel more like home. One popular way to do this is by adding custom MySpace graphics to your layout.

MySpace graphics can be found on hundreds of sites all over the Web. There are many sites that are devoted exclusively to providing different kinds of MySpace graphics. You can find pictures to suit every style. There are collections of MySpace graphics ranging from angels to gothic - and everything in between.

Once you've browsed the endless selection and chosen a picture you like, you need to find the code that links to that picture. Most of the MySpace graphics collections list the HTML code for you in a convenient cut-and-paste format. For images that don't have this, you'll need to find the URL where the image is hosted. (Make sure you have permission before you link to other people's graphics!) You can even upload your own pictures to use as MySpace graphics.

MySpace graphics are easy to add. Simply log into MySpace and edit your profile. Go to an area where you can enter text, such as your "About Me" section and add the image html code.

Simply replace "whatever.com" with the name of the web site where the image is hosted, and replace "whatever.gif" with the actual name of the image. Save your profile and take a look. Your new MySpace graphics should be viewable.

If you find that the MySpace graphics are too large, you can modify their size by adding "Height" and "Width" tags to the HTML code.

These tags will tell the profile how tall and wide your MySpace graphics should be. Change the numeric values until everything fits properly on the page. Now you're on your way to having a cool, customized MySpace profile to show off to your friends!
